4.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $250,000 to the City of Pacifica for acquisition of a 2.17-acre blufftop property for open space, natural resource protection and public access at 400 Esplanade Drive, Pacifica, in San Mateo County.

5.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $150,000 to the County of Santa Barbara to reconstruct three public beach accessways in Isla Vista.

6.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $150,000 to the County of San Luis Obispo for reconstruction of five beach access stairways in the town of Cayucos.

 

San Francisco Bay

7.   Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse up to $757,000 to the Southern Sonoma County Resource Conservation District to refine hydrologic modeling, analyze sediment transport, prepare NEPA/CEQA and conceptual design documents, and facilitate public participation related to the restoration of lower Sonoma Creek in Sonoma County.
 

8.   Consideration and possible Conservancy  authorization to disburse up to $400,000 to the East Bay Regional Park District for acquisition of 3 parcels adjacent to Pleasanton Ridge Regional Park in Alameda County.

 

North Coast

 

9.  Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse $240,000 to the Mendocino Land Trust to undertake a variety of site design and planning tasks necessary to develop fifteen public coastal access ways in Mendocino County and to continue to manage and operate three existing access ways in Mendocino County.

 

 

Statewide

 

10.    Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse an amount not to exceed one hundred fifty thousand dollars ($150,000) to the Coastal Conservancy Association to plan and sponsor “California and the World Ocean 2006”.

 

11.  Consent

 

 

a.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to: (1) disburse up to $3,000,000 of Conservancy funds to undertake work associated with the South San Francisco Bay Salt Pond restoration planning effort, including costs of the South San Francisco Bay Shoreline Study with the Santa Clara Valley Water District and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers; and (2) redirect previously authorized funding from the Wildlife Conservation Board for the cost-share agreement to the South San Francisco Bay Salt Pond restoration project.

 

b.     Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to amend the Conservancy’s May 27, 2004 authorization for the Goleta Slough Tidal Restoration Demonstration Project to reduce the scope of the project to construct and monitor only experimental basin F and its effects on  restoring tidal circulation to the slough and on the bird air strike hazard at Santa Barbara Municipal Airport.

 

c.      Consideration and possible Conservancy authorization to disburse $100,000 to KTEH- TV  Foundation for production of a television documentary about San Francisco Bay.

 

d.     Consideration and possible authorization to disburse up to $100,000 to the Catalina  Island Conservancy to implement the Catalina Island Habitat Improvement and Restoration Program.

Access for All, California Coastal Commission, California Coastal Conservancy, et al., Los Angeles Superior Court, Case No BC277034; Serra Canyon Co. LTD v. California Coastal Commission, California Coastal Conservancy, et al., Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. SCO 73699; Colony Beach Preservation Assn. v. California Coastal Commission, Los Angeles Superior Court Case No. BS 083683; California State Coastal Conservancy and California Coastal Commission v. City of Trinidad and John Frame, Humboldt County Superior Court No. CV030643; Frame v. City of Trinidad et al., Humboldt County Superior Court No. DR980359; possible legal action with respect to the blockage of legal access to the Conservancy’s Victorine Ranch property in Monterey County; and other pending litigation; and/or to consider the initiation of litigation. Session will be closed to the public pursuant to Government Code Section 11126(e).

 

 

20.  Adjournment.

 

Starting at 3:00 pm on Wednesday, September 7, Conservancy members will have a tour of the Morro Bay Estuary leaving from the Morro Bay waterfront located at the intersection of Embarcadero and Pacific Street.  The public is welcome to attend, however, limited space will be available on a first-come, first-served basis.   For details and to reserve a space on the tour, please contact Carmen at the Coastal Conservancy by 3 p.m. Tuesday, September 6 at 510-286-0343.  A reception will follow beginning at 5 p.m. upstairs at Windows on the Water Restaurant on the waterfront.
