The Coastal Conservancy acts with others to preserve, protect and restore the resources of the California Coast. Our vision is of a beautiful, restored and accessible coastline.

The Coastal Conservancy is governed by a seven-member board of directors, appointed by the Governor and California Legislature, consisting of :

• Douglas Bosco, Chairman, Public Member
• Jeremy Hallisey, Public Member
• Marisa Moret, Public Member
• Ann Notthoff, Public Member
• Mike Chrisman, Secretary for Resources
• Michael Genest, Department of Finance
• Patrick Kruer, Chair, California Coastal Commission

Alternates include:

• Susan Hansch, California Coastal Commission
• Karen Finn , Department of Finance
• Karen Scarborough, California Resources Agency

Six members of the Legislature, three from each house, provide legislative oversight and participate in Conservancy activities. These members are:

• The Honorable Christine Kehoe, Senate
• The Honorable Abel Maldonado, Senate
• The Honorable Joe Simitian, Senate
• The Honorable Patty Berg, Assembly
• The Honorable Loni Hancock, Assembly
• The Honorable John Laird, Assembly

Sam Schuchat is executive officer of the Coastal Conservancy.
Neal Fishman and Nadine Hitchcock are the deputy executive officers.
